Yeah, as well written as the characters and dialogue are, the plot is all over the place and the finale didn't feel satisfying. I feel like they killed off Jinx because they didn't know what to do with her at this point other than make her suicidal for the entire episode.

That's just it, the writing in the finale was NOT good. After 2 seasons of character driven writing suddenly having half of all the characters become only vessels for the the next Thing Happening was deeply disappointing

I feel like even if you were being generous the emotional beats it sets up even on the final 3 eps about family and breaking the cycle disappear very quickly. Honestly the writing does make both seasons feel like completely different stories.

Yeah I still love the show as a league head, but the move to making Arcane official lore AND shortening it to 2 seasons clearly lead to a mess of a finale. They had these two major plotlines (political revolution one being the more interesting one) and then could only choose one, then chose wrong

Jinx having a very none fitting death scene and then secretly living anyway after characters secretly living about 10 times already is pretty horrific. A fear of wrapping stuff up because there is potential to come back later, but you have 100 characters to explore anyway you are not coming back lol

(spoilers!!) You can not set up a show that says, for two seasons, that oppressors will not willingly give up power, that they will offer it to the oppressed as a method of control.

You can not tell a story about tyranny and end it with "all we needed was a common enemy and a hug"
