The most senior career official at Treasury was purged after protesting the access that DOGE officials had secured. Why would that have happened if this were an innocent expansion of a previous process?

but i think it’s the “19 year old” part that really kicks it—they do not trust anyone young
As someone in the camp that says the most Trump voters knew what they were getting with him, and voted for him because it's what they want: I don't think Elon Musk's 19 year old intern stealing their Social Security numbers and banking information is what they voted for.
