i’m going to preface this by saying that this is not a callout, but:
every time i see someone post “they can’t do that, that’s illegal” (or some variation thereof) i hear ralph wiggum’s voice saying “that’s unpossible!”

In the military, it IS (theoretically) possible to disobey a bad or morally wrong order, & we can look to people like Vasily Arkhipov & Hugh Thompson, Jr. for examples of that
anything is permissible to those who are never held accountable because of their wealth and power
i’ve spent my whole life watching people fetishize the “civil” of civil disobedience and ignoring the “disobedience”
whatever you think the path forward is today, i promise that compliance and an expectation that the system will sort itself out isn’t the way
