Because, like it or not, a large (and increasing) proportion of the British people vote for him. They have to have him on. They don’t have to let him spout his lies unchallenged.
& when was Ed Davey last on one of the Sunday politics shows? It’s Labour, Conservative & Farage which in no way reflects the number of seats held in parliament!
There is no argument, it is what they should be doing.
Talking to ALL parties, so we can hear ALL views, and we can make up our minds who we want to support.
Not just the popular ones.
And you’re entitled to, but personally I think the BBC should be representative as the national broadcaster. Given recent poll results that means more air time for Reform and the Greens.
Sorry but this is rubbish, the only reason he has any following is his disproportionate air time, and even then he still mostly disliked. If it was down to popularity we would see a lot more LDs and Greens too - we dont, I wonder why?
I don’t think how much time he gets on the BBC makes much difference. It’s his social media presence that has made him popular. Reform voters don’t seem to be big fans of ‘mainstream media’.
They've been doing it for years though, before he even had a seat. Whilst simulanteous giving an actual serving MP for the green party, Caroline Lucas, less coverage
They don’t invite the Green Party nearly enough (as I’ve said elsewhere). They do seem to be on more than they were though - Carla Denyer has been a few things recently.

Yet british media just nods along.
There’s an argument it should be reflective of the share of popular vote, rather than seats tbf.
