International Treaties supersede domestic laws.
We are part of 5 eyes via the UKUSA intelligence sharing treaty. Our signals Intel is shared *automatically* via the STONEGHOST network.
We would have to provide notice to terminate the treaty as per section 11. Would prob be perceived as hostile.

Not saying they shouldn't be contemplating it.
Just that 3 of the other members are in a similar position to us (UK, AUS, NZ)
Would make sense to try and get all of the other 3 on the same page, and perhaps try to extricate from the US as a collective.

Also doesn't help how closely aligned our military is.
Canada is part of NORAD and NATO. We have regularly allowed US Nuclear Weapons on Canadian soil.
