I think military leaders who study history should not be surprised at the speed of collapse of externally supported governments. Vietnam/US, Congo/Belgium, Afghanistan/US, Afghanistan/USSR, Georgia/USSR, maybe Iran/US, etc. But totalitarian leaders and generals are rarely students of history...

They can't move naval ships into the Black Sea, Türkyie have closed the Straits.

It's not entirely true. Ships that have their home ports in the Black Sea are allowed to return ONCE to their Black Sea home port. They can not leave afterwards anymore. That's why some of them have been left outside of the Black Sea. But I think it's unlikely they'll return now

I didn't mean to offend, just pointing out the facts. It could indeed be a valid route to evacuate, I'm not sure which ships in Tartus have the Black Sea as their home and whether they are in a good condition to sail. I head some might be in need of repairs

No offence taken. The discussion about the Black Sea fleet has been done many times over now, almost all of the fleet was already home when the Straits were closed.
