A long thread on the war and the current situation. Although the worst-case scenarios didn’t materialize in 2024, it was the most difficult period since spring 2022. There were positive developments, and bright spots, but the current trajectory is negative. 1/

Since the URLs to Bluesky posts are clean and stable you can use the bookmark feature in your browser as a stopgap solution.

But why not post this as a blog post instead? Bluesky (and X btw) are hostile to long threads. Constantly clicking to continue, reading two sentences a piece is pure attention stress.

Also, there is a free/open source blog using atproto/Bluesky, so there is little excuse for this IMHO -> https://whtwnd.com
