Although anchor drags only get you so far, Russia is up to more sneaky stuff as well. But my feeling is that GUGIs assets are largely missing out on the action.
Where GUGI still has a huge advantage is on their home turf in the Arctic.
They also use their Bester DSRVs for these seabed missions, carried on the back of BS-64 (or Belgorod). Much cheaper and easier solution
I did see Type 56's video on the PLAN sub 418 incident and it was pretty terrifying, and that's shallow water
I have some interesting experiences with vanishing Yasenโs.
