A 23-year old 2-way Center for a soon to be 24-year old one-way Forward and a likely 20-30 range 1st Rd pick in the middle of Luka's prime is not an overpay.
It’s that extra pick swap that upsets me along with his recent injury history. Feel like we weren’t dealing from a position of strength with everyone knowing we were desperate for a center. Would’ve preferred waiting till the Summer with more players available
The pick swap will be irrelevant when the time comes much like the swaps the Pelicans got in the AD trade. The odds of the Hornets being better than the Lakers in 2030 is highly unlikely.
I feel like it's huge Overpay. If they were that keen on going all in, then they should have gone to Brooklyn and gotten that center plus Cam Johnson. Or at the very least another good 3 and D wing coming with this trade. We gave up everything we had for 1 guy and he has a history of injury
Lakers are allergic to developing promising young talent. They’d rather put together awkward teams that they’re stuck with for 4 year blocks because they’re trying to win now.

The fan base was screaming for a center and we just got a young borderline phenom of a center
Not Dalton
