6/ Yes, America will never be a dominant power on the world stage. And I'd rather it not, considering the demonstrated governmental obsession with exporting control, pain, and death, when the exported "culture" is rejected.
7/ But people will continue to be born, grow up, live, work, grow old, and die here. Even after the current regime has collapsed in on itself and caused massive damage to the country and to the world on the way down.
So no. I don't want to roll over and give up, even in the face of pain and misery.

Yes. America is absolutely in trouble. Yes, mass marketed 'culture' is vapid and empty.
But local communities still live and fight to live. Americans write music and theater, and perform them both.
But teachers still teach students, and students still learn and grow, even if slower than they could be.
So no. I don't want to roll over and give up, even in the face of pain and misery.
