Yes. America is absolutely in trouble. Yes, mass marketed 'culture' is vapid and empty.

5/ Yes, higher education in America is pay walled behind massive debt or a pre-existing block of wealth.

But teachers still teach students, and students still learn and grow, even if slower than they could be.

6/ Yes, America will never be a dominant power on the world stage. And I'd rather it not, considering the demonstrated governmental obsession with exporting control, pain, and death, when the exported "culture" is rejected.

7/ But people will continue to be born, grow up, live, work, grow old, and die here. Even after the current regime has collapsed in on itself and caused massive damage to the country and to the world on the way down.

So no. I don't want to roll over and give up, even in the face of pain and misery.

I agree that there is still some hope left and with thoughtful living mindfulness awareness and mutual aid. There can still be a space life to thrive.
