definitely a new concept for some people to learn, you basically have 1 account for everything and it's not tied to each type of service

you have an account you created on Bluesky

and you can use it for different style of apps but it must use AT Protocol
and you keep your name/followers/following

Oh for sure. We all know the real reasons it was banned, but they can’t use “China” as an excuse with Skylight. Everything on Skylight is also transferable, so if you decide you hate it or the government does go after it, you can leave and take everything with you.

I see the concern, we will need to wait and see, however the nice thing about AT Protocol apps

if in the future you don't like whatever Skylight is doing

you can simply switch to a different "tiktok style" app

and you still keep your name/followers/following on whatever new app you want to use
