To anyone that's homebound ir has visual issues....you don't even need to leave your home to use your public library. All you need is a phone or tablet and Libby.
Libby sells your reading information to the highest bidder. What you are reading, what pages you bookmarked, where you stopped. I am concerned about that lack of privacy.
Not always. Our library spends more money on Overdrive than on physical books. Many titles are only ebooks. And of course, some people can’t get to a physical library.
In our small community the library branch is truly a huge resource. I’ll always prefer physical books but Libby’s great for travelling, magazine reading and the occasional pandemic closing bricks and mortar branches.
I use Libby constantly. I listen to audio books almost 24/7. Nothing censored. You can borrow a million at once. I haven’t tried a million but so far no limit to how many at a time. I listened to 3 different ones(at different times) bc I couldn’t wait to finish one of them before I started another.
My only frustration is that my local library system needs a larger collection of books😂 otherwise Libby is one of my most used apps! Love, love, love it
