Same thing happened to us. We had a whiteeeee Halloween and a horrible storm some time after, but it was otherwise mild as can be.

It happens every once in a while but outside of big storms it’s rather calm. We are not on the windiest region though, so we are pretty lucky 😅

I am in coastal NSW so probably 8'C as it is sub-tropical, (similar California i have been told) depending on which state you live in on the east coast. though in the Snowy mountains it gets into the negatives. The northern territory however is always around 30'C all year round.

I'm usually gifted lots of hot cocoa (as a teacher) around this time of the year so I've tried quite a few. I normally don't care for it unless it's a cold rainy day. I was once gifted some spicy hot chocolate from Mexico, it was awesome. Wish I had kept the box.
