Oh btw, the recipe is at the last part of this quoted thread. If you don’t want the burnt bit, just cover the whole thing with foil before putting it in the oven and leave the foil on the entire time. •ᴗ•

My “Toasted Leche Flan” (the recipe I tested) was a success! I drew inspo from three desserts: the classic egg pie, burnt basque cheesecake, and leche flan. I wanted the toasty taste of the egg pie and burnt basque but I didn’t want the crust and the grainy texture.
