I have grandchildren on medication for ADHS & ADD they would not be able to complete their schooling without it. More than 21 million American adults are affected by depression each year. 3.4 million children & teenagers. RFK jnr is dangerous.

Their function is relatively simple, and there is stuff out there that works very similarly. Whether it's a good idea to push people to use the said stuff is highly questionable. Probably cheaper too when it's the US.

it can be tricky to find the right med and dosage. some don't work right for some people, even between generic vs. brand formulations of the same thing. if you're on something that works then a substitute is not necessarily going to be a viable option.

I KNOW ADHD meds would make me more productive at work and I don’t want them if I feel fine otherwise. ADHD meds are, low key, a great tool for the goals of capitalism… feels like they’re missing a big opportunity here (it’s all serious and awful but the irony’s not lost on me)
