His cabinet is nuts, so that’s not the way to go. Unfortunately it’s impeachment or nothing, probably. Republicans need to hear from their constituents—they have to contain him now.

Wait. Is it possible, could it be, that crashing the economy is part of a plot by Republicans to get rid of trump? If so, I think they miscalculated how deeply cultish the trump base is. Republicans will get primaried if they turn against trump, period. There's no way out without morals and bravery.
Not this again. Permanent removal under 25A requires Vance specifically, a majority of the Cabinet and 2/3 of *both houses* of Congress. Impeachment just requres 1/2 +1 of the House and 2/3 of the Senate.
The Cabinet executes the 25th Amendment. When exactly do you think these loyalists will take this sort of action? You can probably answer your own question.
Trump’s cabinet is filled with sycophants, incompetents, and Kremlin operatives, so the chances of the 25th Amendment being invoked are quite low. His VP is quite terrible as well, so a responsible GOP ought to be impeaching and removing both of them. Speaker Johnson believes the Earth is 6000 yo.
If you read the 25th amendment, it very quickly becomes clear it will never be used successfully unless the president is in a permanent vegetative state on life support. It’s pretty worthless as long as half of congress will insist “he’s fine.”
