It logs every single word students+teachers say. I teach controversial, often difficult, histories and subjects, and I cannot think of allowing this monstrosity into the classroom while I teach those topics. If I want feedback, I would ask a colleague I trust to attend and do the same for them.

There's slightly easier arguments in my discipline (nursing) where we have a long term prohibition on recordings (like podcasts) based on the fact staff or students may raise confidential matters in seminars. Harder to make that argument in other disciplines.

Its easy to make it in my classrooms--I teach disability histories and disability studies. Classrooms often involve discussions of serious, difficult and private issues, sometimes involving students, sometimes their families.
