The latest issue of Two-Face is, along with Si Spurrier’s “A Tale of Three Halves,” one of the most important, progressive, and impactful takes on Harvey Dent ever written in the character’s 83-year history.

@cjward.bsky.social is doing for Harvey Dent what Al Ewing did for Bruce Banner. But unlike Ewing, Harvey didn’t have canon backstory and psychology from writers like Mantlo, PAD, and Jenkins to build upon. Ward, unlike the vast majority of Two-Face writers, dares to have sympathy for the devil.
Not everything in this issue goes the way I’d personally have liked, but what Ward is shaping up here is something that’s more important for the character than just fanservice for me, something that will hopefully change how people think about Two-Face for years to come.
