Excellent Alsace Pinot Blanc tonight! Green apple fruit, touch of honey. Well-balanced. Very good with our Indian takeout.

So, we stocked up with inexpensive medal-winners on the way back from a driving holiday last summer:

I'm the latter - three visits and counting.
But if I were, I'd take a look at trends in import numbers for still wines vs. Cremant in the U.S., as well as if there has been a rise since '21 (mandatory sweetness designation on labels).
Maybe it's all down to quality, but I think flute bottles hurt Alsace there.
Have yet to visit.
Drive from Calais is 6 hours direct; or break it up via Belgium & Luxemburg on the way.
Strasbourg is a good starting point, then cruise the wine villages down to Colmar's Petite Venise.
Eguisheim is also a must-visit IMHO - plus bring back a bootful of bottles.
- Bruges (+ Ghent / Brussels)
- Bouillon
- Luxembourg
- Strasbourg -> Colmar
- Freiburg / Triberg / Heidelberg
- Mosel / Trier
Took Dad on a boys' week-long road trip 15 years ago and had a great time. Stay at Logis de France.
