A vote is one of the extremely rare times that a politician can be forced to give a binary answer that can be pointed out when it comes to run against them, or try and get rid of them.
Yes, actually. Even if the Senate Republicans were too cowardly to do their duty to the country, it mattered. People in power have to use their office to speak up (or not). They work for us still. And the American people should know whose side they’re on.
I don't want to sound like I think it was 100% useless, the impeachments probably helped him lose the election but it didn't get him removed then and it won't now and that's a serious problem our system of checks and balances doesn't seem equipped to solve.
