If we adopt indigenous methods of life, we have to kill a significant percentage of our population. Their lifestyles couldn't support our population density.

Sorry, clearly I've expressed myself poorly.
I'm pointing out that Indigenous cultures operated at a much smaller scale than we do today, and their methods of for example food production, could not support our current population.
I phrased it dramatically, and I now regret that choice.

We're told our only options are to vote for the Leopards Eating Your Face, or the Leopards Who Apologize for Eating Your Face (& etc for Canada), but there are other options. We don't have to keep supporting a system that is destroying us.

I don't want to vote strategically. I don't want to vote against the well being of marginalized groups, including myself. If our ultimate goal is to live in harmony with the earth and each other, let's skip the hemming and hawing and put that goal first.

We have the technology and the smarts to make it happen; we just need more people willing to take the leap, and to trust that we'll look after each one of us as we learn a new way of living on this planet. A better way is possible!
