I look at it as a fork of 4E. Pf1 was still the Monte-Cook-From-ICE 3.X creature, with some simulation and most saliently monster symmetry and a rubric of monster creation.
PF2 is in the lineage of asymmetry
Some so-so 4E ideas are big in PF2, like an assumed treadmill of difficulty
1) Pathfinder is *4*? I've never looked closely but I always thought it was 3-era
2) is "PF1" something new or are we in a causality loop here? I'm interested but confused. Afraid Captain Kelsey Grammer will be ramming my ship any moment. Why are all these 3s in this poker game?
