The fact that he was guilty is the point. Partisan politics or not, who cares? This only helps Joe Biden's family and the MAGAs who are going to use this as cover for even more crazy stuff. This Hunter pardon will convince at least some people of the false equivalence and make our efforts harder.

I agree we should not be shackled to norms in the cae of Trump, but why would we want to use political capital for something that benefits a dozen people and all of our enemies. If we're going to be unshackled, why start with presidential pardons for family members who admit they are guilty?

The man granting the pardons is making the choices. I would have had people dig up all nonsense charges that were similar and pardon swaths of people.

If it's a bs charge for Hunter, then it's a bs charge for everyone else.

I'm hoping for lots of effective executive actions for the next 45 days.

I support everything you proposed. But if this and only a handful of lukewarm pardons come out and that's it, I stand by calling this a horrible decision made for selfish and egotistical reasons that will only make our fight harder.

I don't think it was singularly a bad move because of the current climate.

I do thank not doing a LOT more is a bad move based on the current climate.
