I’ve done this too. I miss a lot of content I loved on other streaming platforms, no doubt, but most of what I prefer for casual viewing is the type of content on Gem. Good docs and very interesting investigative productions are a great bonus

I have been using the free version of GEM for years because the CBC offers some really awesome content. The only drawback is the huge amount of repetitive ads you have to put up with. I wish it could be reduced.

The Premium version is supposed to be ad free.
