NEW: Just 6% of Gen Z say they actually want a dictator – not over half, as has been recently claimed.
Our study finds only a very small minority of 13-27-yr-olds really feel this way, when their views and interpretations are tested with different questioning approaches 🧵⬇️

Of course they don’t want a dictator, they just want democracy back.
If you talk with many people they think that democracy just means "having elections" and "rule of majority", which is not incorrect in itself. The issue is that in reality we are referring to Liberal democracy.
Society needs to start working for the people again.
When pr is never included. I've never had my own needs included.
You would reach more people, when you add a good description into the Alt-text field.
That is pretty easy, especially, when your image just contain text.
This way, you support visually impaired people and everyone else, who rely on a good filled Alt-text.

1) Identical wording to a recent survey for Channel 4
2) Same w/ 2nd half of the question in bold caps
3) Same w/ "dictator" used in lieu of "strong leader"
The variations result in far lower levels of agreement
@bobbyduffy.bsky.social warns that exaggerated claims of Gen Z wanting a dictatorship “can only add to division and risk encouraging that outcome”
Thankyou for posting the truth.
Puts me in mind of this
The absence of national elections seems not to be the main thing that signifies a dictatorship.
Less than half of Gen Z are against a dictator. The rest are in favour, or don't care.
The rest of the questions are to see what flavour of dictator is best, eg with or without "elections" (Lukashenko, Putin).
