there’s a fact I like about moon landing conspiracy that, it would have cost Kubrick more to fake the moon landing than to go to the damn moon at the time, so alternative conspiracy: 2001 was actually filmed in space for cost reasons

There really is a version of the faked moon landing conspiracy theory that posits that the moon landing happened, but we didn't have the technology to broadcast live from the moon, so the footage of it was a Hollywood production.
