Okay you joke but (a) input prediction for multiplayer has been a thing for decades, and (b) using ML models (not LLMs, mind you) to analyze player data and figure out the most likely next movement is probably the most accurate way to do it.

...which is why I suspect the patent isn't original art.

Ideally you'd create a small model tailored to that particular player. You only have to plan 100-500ms ahead depending on ping so it wouldn't be a very complicated model either - it'd be the kind of shit we were doing back in grad school in the aughts.

Online fighting games does that, it is called rollback netcode. It predicts what the player will do (like punch, jump, walk forward) and displays that before the input. If the player doesn't do the predicted input, the netcode rollback the frame displayed to display the correct button inputed
