So embarrassing asking your mentors for help and suddenly having to admit that you literally know nothing about how Unity actually works, you just use it EXTREMELY hard until it does something

i feel this
i only know just enough unity/blender/webdev/etc to make what i want to happen happen
and im too adhd to sit down and learn more unless it solves an immediate blocker
exactly the same
it's all piecemeal "hey that worked!" knowledge for me, picked up one project at a time
over lots and lots of projects it almost starts to look like I know what I'm doing
I do that for about 3 days or 10 "almost but not quite my problem" yt tutorials before I throw my hands in the air and then it turns out the problem as "oh you didn't turn on read/write when you imported that"
Unity is also like, a fundamentally difficult to use tool, for.... Everything.
I literally learned to (poorly) use nodejs to get transferred off a unity project once

one of my goals this year is to write down more stuff
(Why does it take 5 minutes to open a completely empty project? Who knows!)
Compiler error? I hardly know 'er error!!

Visual coding be damned!
Damn, that’s pretty cool. Last time I asked teacher for help they ghosted me, and I was paying them too lmao
