Finished both not long ago. Ishin was really interesting, especially after playing Rise of the Ronin that takes place during the same time period. Seeing it being tackled very differently by both games was fascinating.

I actually like this show a lot, and I'm an avid fan of the game series. I think its approach to remixing stuff (while not pulling random shit out of its ass) is pretty compelling and keeps shit exciting. Making Date more of a Philip Marlowe type worked for me too ngl

Chances are you'd end up dying and he'd be proven right anyway. (I intensely dislike TV Show Kiryu, they massacred my boy)

Only 2 episodes in, and I feel like the fact I know the games too well play against me in terms of enjoyment.

It's just not my Kiryu.

The casting isn't very convincing too. Nishiki is a perfect choice, Majima seems fine so far, but Date (the cop) doesn't work for me at all.

I haven't watched a TV show in a long time and I think the last time was together with young children. So there's a chance I'd get rescued by the Paw Patrol. Which sounds bad, perhaps, but I think they have a 100% success rate so I'd probably be fine.
