Fuck is this shit, are they bragging that slavery is cool when done to AI? That nobody will complain about you breaking the rules if all of your workers are computers?
Because it ain't anywhere as cool of a message as they mean it to be. If we need a Droid Rights movement, I side with the droids.
Can’t tell if that’s a vidscreen or a poster from here, but put that on a glitchy one, take the pic at night with some magenta and teal background lighting, you got yourself some cyberpunk.
I did an experiment last week. I provided ChatGPT with hours of details to create just a single chapter worth of fictional text about a fantastical world. It spit out absolute garbage. Tons of hallucinations that would take a reader right out of it. AI is not ready to make real art.
And even if AI managed to make an interesting chapter, it's not made to wrote whole books with consistent lore and characters. It fall apart real fast.
I didn't even want to go beyond a single chapter, it was so bad. Just a single example: it kept inserting real dates (BCE/CE). I pointed out that it is a fantasy world and Jesus Christ would not have existed there. Damn thing nearly had a melt down trying to make a calendar replacement. 😂
The only silver lining is that none of these AI services provide even a tenth of the functionality they advertise, at least for the time being. On the other hand, we've seen companies are all too willing to compromise the quality of their services or products if they can save a little money.
No, you have to feed, clothe and house slaves. This is much worse. They want people to disappear completely (except for those who buy their product).
It’s a moral imperative to destroy these businesses. They are anti-human.
At least in Cyberpunk 2077, the world looks nice, you can just go off into the desert as a nomad, and there is surprisingly little to no discrimination for LGBTQ+ people. Real life is just Cyberpunk light with Christian nationalism how fun.
In a world where body modification is the norm, and whole psychies can be copied digitally, and entire bodies swapped, discrimination against LGBTQ people just doesn't make as much sense. Technology like the kind seen in the Cyberpunk franchise/genre would challenge many claims made by fundies/nazis
Never underestimate these groups, they will always exist, the idea of different skin colors should make it clear that there is no cast system based on skin color, but that idea still exists.
This is true. I feel like this is also true for 2077, but since it's from a single-persons perspective we don't really get a good look at what the bigoted might look like. V just isn't a bigot, and quite frankly I wouldn't fuck with Claire, even if I were. She's scary.
Machines are always portrayed as the guys who want to destroy all humans and honestly I think that tells a lot of how black and white some writer's world view is.
Low key going to be pretty funny once Management and C-Suite realize that without labor and base level employees they have to take full responsibility for anything and everything that goes wrong.
In my job *that is a fucking lot* - most of it being their fault in the first place 😄
Yeah it's a load of crap. like if I'm going to have to live in a dystopia ran by a handful of Corporations the least they can do is give me some neat stuff like a bionic arm.
This is even more dystopian than first appears. Their product is outbound sales. The intense labor power they're fighting is telemarketers. The work life balance that's so concerning is taking a sick day when deathly ill.
It isn't just the reach. The scary stuff is when they get to be "people" but few of the penalties, so they can effectively do things no single person could do.
Imagine someone with infinite money who could kill someone with no chance of being jailed.
Let em waste Money, people, real people Will Always prefear something that feels human, the crap those guys want to sell you Will 100% be Always on the shitty side, Always the discardable easy to gloss over crap, the fact It Is materializing irl means some old fart got scammed by a dying trend
I mean, this is just an extremely incompetent ad from a company of no-name grifters. This shit is normally reserved for inner company memos. Who is this ment to be for when advertised out in the open?

And the Right Wing is the name of the unholy god that rule this realm.
It would be funnier if that shit wasn't destroying both the planet and a whole lot of jobs.

Isn't this why the Machines went to war with humanity in The Matrix?
Who said bots can't be class conscious?
That sign would look so cool with an Axe jammed into it

I like water flavored
Not once have I found a description of ANY CEO's day to day. It is ever and always vague Corpo buzzwords that mean nothing.
You can't tell me what you do in a day, but you deserve performance bonuses. Curious....
Really it isn't any different than companies using overseas or illegal labor.
Being a fan of the genre since the mid-80s has made the last 40 years a wild ride.
Imagine someone with infinite money who could kill someone with no chance of being jailed.
So you're right.
You go to Hengsha where dirt-poor exploited workers sleep in tiny rented pods with forcefields for doors.
Meanwhile, IRL you have the same setup but with cardboard box shacks, about the dane size but no forcefields.
It’s literally factually wrong. People think ai is magic when it’s just the same kind of exploitation we’ve always seen, coupled with bald faced theft, all for a dog shit end product.
"Complain about work/life balance"
Yeah, those hard-working pesky people that "demand" lives with dignity and time for their families.
