My son is considering a very lucrative deal from the MLB team in Canada.. so now both his daughters.. and my daughter, who are all experienced RN nurses are looking to relocate as well.. we’ll miss them, but can’t blame them for wanting a safer, better place to live..

I had a couple of Canadian friends both lived in Alberta.. one vacationed with us .. Banff, Lake Louise ..just incredible…the other took me hunting in Manitoba.. I was impressed with the beauty of Canada.. my friends are gone now.. but live on in my memories

PM Carney has called for all medical staff to come home … there use to be such great USA recruitment incentives once they finished the initial course (RNs) eg: free Masters Degrees and certificates in specialty. Canada couldn’t compete. Same for Drs.
And here we are today. 🤷🏻‍♀️🙋🏻‍♀️🇨🇦☕️

I have a couple of friends who are RNs, they got offered a lot to go to the US. Money was better, housing, expenses, it was too good to pass up. And as you say, and here we are today.

The incentives were huge plus the fast track to green cards and work visas. I know many that left … worked long and hard … came back bought a home and work casual.

This also includes all other Healthcare providers. The USA would recruit the entire 🇨🇦 class of SLPs (speech language pathologist) and many more desirable professionals.
