All of religious writing is an open book to LLM AI, and they have a deeper understanding of the relations between all live and extinct languages than any scholar.

This opens up a new field: Computational Theology.

There's a database of endangered languages and some recordings & anthropologists' notes on extinct languages.

Even models like ChatGPT can do it on a basic level Feed it a text in an unknown language, say "we think it's about fishing" and it will try to translate.

3 & up, darwin - you can use the OpenAI web interface to do a proof of concept really easily. Using BERT + Sci-kit learn for the main project though.
