The electoral fraud in favor of the pro-russian ruling party was something that was expected and happened mostly due to the apathy of Western politicians who did not pressure the Georgian government to organize truly independent and fair elections. Now we will deal with the consequences

This isn’t the first time. In 2020, Georgian Dream’s election fraud was ultimately legitimized by the West in the name of "stability." That mistake enabled four more years of state capture, authoritarian consolidation, and erosion of democratic institutions.

A parliament formed from these fraudulent elections is illegitimate. It must, by journalists, Western politicians, and all others, be referred to as the Self-proclaimed Parliament or the So-called Parliament to reflect its true nature.

▪️Ballot tampering and multiple voting.
▪️Courts and election commissions dismissing legitimate complaints.
Free and fair elections are impossible under the current system.

The only way forward is new, internationally monitored elections. Anything less would perpetuate Georgian Dream’s authoritarian grip and further damage Georgia’s democratic institutions.
