What is the general consensus on Soulcalibur story modes?

Is it like most fighting game stories and mostly ignored, or do SC fans care about their lore?

I started with 6, and I’m kinda indifferent to Libra of Souls so far. Though it was cool when Geralt Witcher showed up.
