Does it have deeply uncomfortable sex scenes with an excruciatingly bad R&B soundtrack that doesn’t match the rest of the film? Or does Colm Meaney announce he has breast cancer and never mention it again?
Tom Cruise takes a kick to the goodies by both his brothers just before his father’s brought home in a cart after a tile fell on his head following a ruck with a villainous landlord.
Jesus, and I bet that’s meant to serious and poignant as well? Or has Ron Howard claimed it’s meant to be a black comedy like Tommy Wiseau with The Room?
Think Howard often does better when his films are based on true stories IMO i.e. Apollo 13, Rush, Cinderella Man - though all 3 take liberties with what actually happened (e.g. Max Baer wasn’t an arrogant arsehole; Hunt didn’t hate Lauda and never beat up a journalist)
