how will this work in regards to people who had someone else pay for their regieststion, I have a FWA account but my fiance paid for the registrations for us both, will it allow me to join the queues after getting the wrist band and they scanned my ticket my fiance has with his?

Not con staff here, but your fiance can log into their account and select one of the purchased con passes and gift it to you by selecting “gift this pass,” and generate a gift code which you can then redeem onto your account.

So we’re booking through the same website as registration? Is there any backup plan for if the site goes down or wifi is terrible? I feel like we’ve learned our lesson enough that thousands of furries rushing a site to book something asap is bad news for the site

So... Can you no longer just run into a friend who's on their way to the vendor hall and join them on a whim? Going on a whim with friends is a common reason to go to the vendor hall and this system would make me think twice attending a con. Picking up a comm real quick before a panel? Good luck.
