Just thinking a lot about how Democrats responded to public pressure by attempting to go into federal buildings and giving up immediately when stopped by security and how apt of a metaphor that is.
Imagine if they had pushed back. Gotten detained, thrown out, arrested. These are choices.

If literally anything like that happened they could easily spin it into their favor, but they're behaving like spineless, toothless, amoebas floating around in a pond.
I've been thinking a lot about how... well, I'll let a blogger I follow explain. Suffice it to say they aren't how we got where we are.

If they were all interned, that might make a few more Americans stand up and take notice instead of shrugging and pretending everything is fine.
In other places, in other times, politicians have been willing to be imprisoned for the sake of Democracy. Some have even put their lives on the line.
But they had moral courage.
And that seems to still be their collective playbook. “Oh, no, doing that hard disruptive thing might make people take notice!” 🤦🏻♀️
What we’re seeing is a lack of desire.
Soon. Things just happen. What’re you gonna do? We can’t really do anything. Then, it’s just the way that it is.
What Dems should be doing is showing up with their own official armed forces and letting the chips fall where they may against Musk's private mercenaries.
