If you have to buy something, then it is very likely under capitalism to have been monopolized. If you’re free to buy solar panels, but can only buy them from a handful of companies, that’s an oligopoly. The average person doesn’t have the means to produce their own panels. All I’m saying.

Sitting in the sun along the River Avon for the last couple of days. All the power to run computers, TV, microwave, heated blanket, water pump, and lights is coming from the sun. Used a bit of propane to boil water for tea. Very satisfying.
