Antony started well for us too, been dreadful for two seasons. If he regains form and confidence we’ll at least get a little money for him in the summer. Don’t think he’ll ever be good enough for a club with ambitions in the Premier League.

At least the lad gave 100% every match unlike Sancho and Rashford. I always liked him and feel he got very bad press compared to Rashford and Sancho.

Giving 100% is not always enough. Of course that is what you want from your players, but his contribution the last two years is next to nothing. He got himself into bad press by being a hot headed guy. I never liked him and think the club was mad for paying more than three times his market value.

I usually agree with that, and definitely in regards to Sancho.

It’s just the lack of quality that worries me. We have players like Antony and Dalot that gives their all but barely is PL level. That is also part of the problem, not just the lazy egos.

Standards at United have dropped dramatically over the years since Sir Alex.

Ruben-with my 100% support-is trying hard to re-introduce high professional standards that will prevent Sancho like incidents in future.

Not sure Ratcliffe loaned him doesn’t have anything to do with football operations that’s why employed Berrada and Wilcox, also not every player is suited to premier league football he clearly needs more time on the ball which he won’t get here.
