The problem with this is that if the dollar crashes, crypto does too. It's only value is to draw in suckers and convert attention into fiat (that is, real) currency.
Trying to put even a tenth of the transactions that happen every day in the US onto the Bitcoin Blockchain would completely overwhelm the supply of blocks being mined and take it from barely usable to completely stalled.
It's insane of them to even think that the rest of the world will go along with that though.
Every country has its own currency and all other countries have to consent to recognize it.
