Oh no there’s no way that a caricature is happening. That would be terrible! :) I think you’re right on the money in terms of what the line of dialog is about.
I'm only going by the Mat teaser of him posing for an artist, I could see papers on the table and I wondered if the artist had done all of the boys, maybe Rand wasn't too happy seeing himself in a picture, he pulls that face and Mat and Perrin laugh at him!!
Someone in DW chat wrote "Paint me like one of your French girls" Given our reaction to the top half of the drawing, I imagine Mat told the artist to paint him wearing only an open shirt and, in addition to being ripped, he's also...blessed by the Light...elsewhere *ahem* #WotSkies #TheWheelofTime
