Fellow georgists, which do you think is a better approach: Trying to convince the general public of the benefits of #Georgism, or trying to convince politicians?

Some would suggest neither! That the focus of our attention ought to be land professionals first. A friend is a director of a large family property development firm and instantly saw the merit compared with all the other taxes they pay (and borrowing costs associated with long planning times).
Also I know that those who pass through my university on the way to careers in surveying and planning do at least get exposed to the idea of land tax and arguments for it.
I would generally advocate for a more grassroots approach. But I’ve tried explaining Georgism to all my friends and it just goes right over their heads. I’d just stick with sharing Not Just Bikes videos.
Realistically, both need to occur. Broader consciousness is required in order to pave the way for the issue to be championed by politicians looking for policies with grassroots support. Some politicians are familiar with LVT but also keenly aware that how easy it is to misconstrue to the unaware.
