@peterfitz1.bsky.social What's all the hype about? Just marketing spiel. Surely the primary objective for an opening batsman in test cricket is to last more than 83 balls across two innings?

Hello Jessica. Australia's No. 11 has faced more balls that the No. 1. Is that what you mean by "did what he was asked"? Asked by whom, and how do you know what his Captain's instructions were? A No. 1 should be playing at least 83 overs, not balls.
Well mate in the first innings he was told to play the way he did he stated so after. It's obvious by the way they both started batting they were not going for quick runs but to slowly build on that lead initially. Looking by all means hate on a young bloke
Ignore the fact that that delivery would get most batsmen out, especially early on in an innings. Ignore the fact Bumrah is currently the world's number one Test bowler who is averaging 12.85 this series. All you're doing is not respecting Bumrahs efforts whilst looking like a flog but hey u be u
I see your star batsman managed to last for 38 balls in his latest innings. And by the way, I've nothing against the "young bloke", it's the excessive and irrational marketing hype I object to. @peterfitz1.bsky.social
