It's definitely something that makes you rethink your perception of reality. I once did a magical visualization exercise where I visualized that someone randomly came to our front door and handed us a check for a specific amount of money. Imagine my surprise when it happened the next day in reality!

I taught a hack I stole from my fave London urban fantasy (the Kate Griffin books) on working with the City of London guardian dragons to the Church Of Burn, who used it to do a rite of burning cash in front of the Bank Of England. That's also tasty and fairly easy.
