I've noticed like high-end content creators will just follow smaller accounts and not interact with them either. They just want you around to make their numbers bigger. That's about it. So the chances of actual friendship go down exponentially. It's why I might vanish for a few months. Idk yet. - ThreadSky

One thing I've learned is a lot of VRChat friendships are superficial. Which kinda sucks. People can just remove you without notice, even after months of friendship. It's kinda made me numb to the idea of meeting new people or even content creators.

This does terrify me. I greatly enjoy meeting new people, making friends and working together on projects that would make them happy. I've had plenty of awful experiences but I'm not giving up on meeting people though. My best friends were met though VR. I will do my best to be a good friend back.

From what I've noticed there seems to be an "in crowd" and if you aren't in then you will mostly be ignored. I've seen some creators who seem like genuinely cool and who I'd want to meet but because I'm not a creator or part of the "in crowd" it won't ever amount to anything.

Social media absolutely kills what makes vrchat as all anyone worries about on here is numbers rather than connections with other people. There are a number of exceptions but for the most part it's just getting those numbers up in whatever way they see fit.

VRChat + Social Media = Venom. It slowly withers away your psyche and leaves you ruined. I might step away from VR for awhile and focus on other games. Monster Hunter Wilds. I'd love to stream it and build a community around it. Maybe I will on an alt account. We'll see.
