Important to be accurate. There's no such position in parkrun as a "Race Director".

parkrun is not a race - it's much more akin to an inclusive community fitness & volunteering event.

Ok well according to the article he is "a Parkrun event director"and has been a "run director in Stratford-Upon-Avon on 132 occasions", so fairly happy with my wording
