I heard grumblings going into free agency that #Seahawks had interest in Teven Jenkins, and now @jamesrapien.bsky.social is reporting they are one of three teams in on signing the guard.

Outside of injury history, Teven Jenkins has likely been the best G available to the Seahawks. He’s put up 3 years of solid performances, has played both LG and RG, and won’t command a huge contract.
He allows you be open to LG or RG in the draft, while also not blocking any of your young Guards
It’s not just injury per se…the guy can’t finish games. So he practices all week, takes all the first team reps, then your backup needs to come in for the second half cold. Hes the -worst- kind of chronically injured guy.
I'd like that if he's not too expensive (Can't imagine he is, with his injury hidtory)
Would leave open the spot for Haynes or Laumea to stay on the right side too
If Seattle doesn't get Jenkins, I would not be surprised if they pivot to Mekhi Becton.
Some may question scheme fit, but is really athletic for 360+ pounds and new line coach John Benton coached him in New York, so there's past ties there.
He didn't really play well until he arrived in PHI so there is familiarity but not really a track record of success. Potentially paying for a 'contract year' of production but these are the options SEA is left with. I would definitely prefer to + either over + no one.
Would be great if they could snag Zeitler &/or Scherff for some vet leader/mentorship. However, I don't think SEA is seen as a popular destination at the moment.
