She admits herself she isn't the most technical rider so this might be true. We'll see, Puck will move more and more to road I think, at least for a few years, while Mathieu will move more and more to offroad.

When did she say that? Because last thing I remember is her saying that she wasn’t sure what would happen towards LA28, which is why she was so upset about missing out on a medal in Paris.
I think that's for the most part false modesty. On todays' courses, if you can win a world cup, the world cup series and podium in the worlds *regularly*, you've got excellent technical skills. Some might be better, but she's up there and her riding reflects that.
She's not the best technical rider in CX either. I don't remember which course it was but I remember her losing time on the pump track. So I do believe she meant what she said. Of course she is still miles ahead of many others and insanely talented, that's true too.
She is very good. Jolanda is by far the best but no longer competitive for race wins. Loana, Haley, and Jenny are better descenders and real competition.
