I asked nicely and I had someone tell me they were disabled, it was hard enough for them, and I shouldn't even be asking. They said, "what was my problem, I clearly wasn't thinking." I dunno. I blocked them -- so I won't see their art posts unfortunately.
I can’t post my own pictures on BlueSky without using ALT Text
I don’t know if clicked an agree button but I wouldn’t dream of not doing it & make me think about my photos in a different way now 💖
Hey, do you know if there is any kind of app that describes an image or creates alt text? I swear that is what I want AI for!! We have Google lens we can have alt text creators
If you are posting screenshots of text - tweets, legal docs, posters - it is very easy to strip the text and pop it straight into the #AltText window. I probably should make a tutorial!
AI is only a start. It also depends upon the AI prompt you provide. Alt text is all about context! We're doing pilots of AI for alt text at work (academic library). Sometimes it's good, sometimes it sucks. Humans required!!

If you set to “Require alt text before posting”, you can’t post without adding alt text for those who are unable to see images well.
